Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring current IL licensure and prior Level 1 Trauma Center ICU experience.

Details

Work in the ICU and Step-Down ICU units of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
Cares for critically ill cardiovascular, neurological, and coronary care patients
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
13-week assignment length
Floating to Step-Down ICU required

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification required
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
Prior ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

Additional Information

Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care
Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards and policies
Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians
Documents care according to established standards
Participates in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
Provides clinical guidance and support to other units in the patient's care journey
Applies critical thinking to ensure patient safety and appropriately escalates concerns
