Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring current IL licensure and prior Level 1 Trauma Center ICU experience.
Details
- Work in the ICU and Step-Down ICU units of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
- Cares for critically ill cardiovascular, neurological, and coronary care patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Floating to Step-Down ICU required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing standards and policies
- Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians
- Documents care according to established standards
- Participates in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
- Provides clinical guidance and support to other units in the patient's care journey
- Applies critical thinking to ensure patient safety and appropriately escalates concerns
