Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and active MI RN licensure.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center ER with Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Current ratios running high at 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays
• Weekend requirement of 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4 week schedule, potentially 1-3 days per weekend
• Floating to Pediatrics possible
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required; ENPC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience preferred
• Triage experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a combined adult/pediatric ER population including trauma, stroke, and cardiac cases
• Complete pre-start training modules covering unit-specific content prior to assignment start
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Maximum 5 days of RTO permitted per assignment, and all RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
• No RTO permitted on 10/31 or 12/18-12/28
• Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning to the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
