Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at an acute care hospital requiring at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience and IL RN licensure.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a 65-bed acute care hospital
• 26-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4-6 and average daily census of 8
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Cerner charting system used

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
• Experience with both adult and geriatric patient populations required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care within a cardiac telemetry and MS/Tele care environment
• Community hospital experience preferred
• RTO must be discussed directly with the manager during the interview process
• Do not request block scheduling during the interview, as this is a strict requirement
• Any scrub color permitted, but no t-shirts, sweatshirts, or logos from other organizations
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Located less than 1 hour from St. Louis and about 45 minutes from Scott Air Force Base
