Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, and Level 1 trauma center experience.

Details

• 10-bed admission unit for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for M/S RN
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling not approved for most units

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Experience in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, high-volume trauma cases required
• Experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
• Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for general medical and surgical patients within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Communicate clearly and work independently within a fast-paced unit
• Mandatory holiday coverage: Thanksgiving Day or the day after, plus either Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel positions
