Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of Long Term Care experience for a long term care facility.

Details

Long term care facility setting within the Speech Therapy unit
Day shift, 8-hour shifts
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements
Compact license accepted

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of SLP experience in a Long Term Care setting
Valid Texas state license required if applicable
Ability to develop and implement treatment plans for swallowing, cognitive, and communication disorders

Additional Information

Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities and reduce aspiration risk
Implement communication strategies to help residents better express themselves and understand others
Lead, guide, and direct delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
Ensure compliance with established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate resident care
Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
First-time travelers will be considered
