Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Labor & Delivery on night shift, requiring prior L&D experience and NRP, BLS, ACLS, and intermediate/advanced fetal monitoring (AWHONN or NCC) certifications.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit with 15 labor beds, 3 OR suites, 4 triage beds, and 3 Preop/PACU beds
• Unit staffed with secretaries, ANMs, relief charge, and ORTs
• Patient ratios of 2:1, 1:1 for patients on Pitocin, and 3-4:1 in APU and Triage areas
• Uses EFM with Toco, ultrasound, pulse ox, BP cables, and NOVI equipment
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• Performs C-sections, cerclage placement and removal, IUPC, and FSE procedures
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), BLS, ACLS, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN or NCC)
• BSN, RNC-OB, and C-EFM certifications preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional references required (number varies by state)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across labor, delivery, triage, and recovery areas
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
