Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a CVICU position requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS/BLS/NIH certification, and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Blended ICU unit within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
• 16-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, and trauma
• Utilizes CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR procedures
• Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required to the Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a blended ICU/CVICU patient population
• Weekly orientation offered
• 48-hour schedules may be considered but are not guaranteed
• No block schedule requests accepted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
• Previous LifePoint facility perm staff employment within the last 12 months is not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
