Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift contract position at a hospital heart center, requiring RRT credentialing and no on-call duties.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy unit within a dedicated heart hospital
- 71-bed unit with 16 staff members
- Equipment used includes 980 ventilators, V60's, MetaNeb, C-1, Nihon Kohden, and AirVo devices
- Night shift hours from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Weekend shifts required
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active RRT license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- Current ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required if caring for pediatric patients
- NRP certification required for staff caring for neonates
- Minimum 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the specialty
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Professional reference required (two references required for Florida and Missouri)
Additional Information
- Scrub requirements include black scrub bottoms and olive green scrub tops
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates will not be considered under any circumstances
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
