Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of ICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a busy hospital respiratory unit.
Details
- 430-bed hospital respiratory therapy unit staffed with approximately 25 respiratory therapists
- Normal floor assignment of 20-25 treatments per round
- Equipment used includes oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and blood gas machines
- Meditech EMR system used
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekend requirement
- On-call expectation of approximately one 24-hour shift every 5-6 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- ICU experience required
- Current RRT credential required
- Current VA state license required if applicable
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience performing nebulizer treatments, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas draws
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Professional reference requirements vary by state, with most states requiring one reference and Florida and Missouri requiring two

- Work in a fast-paced respiratory therapy environment as part of a collaborative care team
- Navy blue scrub attire required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
