Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg/OB-GYN RN for a night shift position requiring 1 year of Mother/Baby or Med Surg experience and MO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Obstetrics/Gynecology unit with 24 adult beds and 10 newborn beds
- Patient population includes mother/baby, med/surg, GYN surgical, bariatric, and colorectal surgery cases
- Patient ratio approximately 6:1
- Utilizes Alaris IV pumps
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Night shift schedule, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation required approximately every third weekend
- No call requirements
- Floating required based on skill level, as needed by facility
- Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week
Requirements
- Active RN license in Missouri or compact license eligible for MO licensure
- BLS certification from AHA required
- NRP and STABLE certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Mother/Baby or Med Surg required
- No gaps in employment exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
- Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care across departments
- Maintains professional accountability and evaluates care provided by other direct caregivers
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information
- Team player with a positive attitude and motivated self-starter approach preferred
- Black scrubs required, along with Mercy branded tops
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced bill rate
- Candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the radius
