Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN with at least 2 years of specialty experience for a day-shift position requiring KY or compact licensure and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of a regional medical center
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
• Rotating 36/48 schedule with 1-2 on-call shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per month
• Float required within scope of practice
• Scrubs and lead apron provided for cases

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/specialty experience required
• IR experience a plus
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Experience in teaching, community, or Level I/II trauma hospitals preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations; medical and religious exemptions considered case by case

Additional Information

• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, and related cardiac interventions
• Assist with EP lab procedures such as pacemaker insertion and cardioversion
• Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage vascular closure and sheath removal
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for STEMI call response
• Radius rule requires residence at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Travelers returning after a one-year assignment must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• First-time travelers may be considered given prior specialty experience
