Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a long-term care setting, requiring 1+ years of OT experience and active LTC or Rehab experience.
Details
- Long-term care (LTC) setting
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1+ years of OT experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- New grads considered if Level II fieldwork experience is completed
- 1 reference required at time of consideration
- Skills checklist within 1 year required
Additional Information
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized, evidence-based assessments
- Provide rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device use
- Document treatment progress, minutes, and discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical standards
- Communicate with interdisciplinary team regarding patient care and outcomes
- Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and required facility trainings
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants, aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards
- Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested during assignment
