Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Med Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring IA or compact RN licensure and cardiac experience.

Details

• Medical IP unit within a regional hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 3x12 pattern
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required across local campuses within the same discipline
• Uses Epic EMR
• Administers cardiac drips including heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amiodarone
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available; 8, 10, and 13 week assignment lengths offered

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required; IL license required at time of offer
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Cardiac experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least one completed travel contract preferred
• New grads accepted
• Not eligible if employed by the facility within the last 12 months
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Work history/resume required
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Level 3 trauma center environment
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the periods of 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2
