Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute rehab setting requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute inpatient setting within a Level 2 trauma center
• Adult and pediatric ICUs, primary stroke center, trauma, neuro, ortho, general med surg, oncology, and inpatient rehab programs
• Approximately 120-150 patients treated per day departmentwide, with 9 evaluations and 16 treatments per therapist per day
• Cerner EMR currently used, transitioning to Epic
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, variable scheduling
• Rotating weekends and holidays required with comp days scheduled
• Self-scheduling not permitted

Requirements

• Active OT license required (if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Experience with ADL evaluation and documentation justifying next level of care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility

Additional Information

• Cover adult and pediatric acute inpatient, ICU, and acute inpatient rehab areas as needed
• Work alongside a rehab aide and COTA as part of the care team
• Facility credentialing process required prior to start, which may extend the onboarding timeline
• Dress code requires any solid color, clean and professional scrubs
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Candidates who previously worked at the facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
