Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Rehab position requiring 1+ years of experience and LTC or Rehab setting background, with new grads considered if Level II experience is met.

Details

• Setting: Long-term care/rehab facility, Physical Therapy unit
• Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
• Start time flexible between 6AM and 10AM, but must remain consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• MO state license required (license required if applicable)
• Compact license accepted
• New graduates considered if they have completed Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation)
• One reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
• Develops and adjusts individualized plans of care based on patient progress and outcomes
• Administers manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and wound care as needed
• Provides consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
• Documents all treatment and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system
• Participates in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• May supervise physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and/or students
• Maintains adherence to APTA and state practice standards, code of conduct, and ethics
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested
