Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with Cerner experience and compact/MD licensure to work in both IMC and ICU units on a 3x12 day/night rotation.

Details

• Work in both IMC and ICU units
• 3x12 hour shifts, day (7:00-19:30) or night (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required, totaling 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) in a six-week period

Requirements

• Active RN license - compact or MD license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of recent ICU experience required within the last 7 years
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, ventilator patient care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care, cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and wound care

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across combined IMC and ICU patient populations
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Facility-specific compliance modules must be completed within one week of contract signing
• Labs and drug screen appointments must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one prior travel assignment is required
