Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a stepdown unit position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Details
- Stepdown ICU unit within a 24-bed hospital setting
- Patient population includes respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and COVID cases
- Patient ratio of 1:3 with up to 3 patients per nurse
- Utilizes Epic EMR
- Administers drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precedex, and low-dose pressors
- D/N rotation shift schedule
- Weekend requirement of 5 shifts every 6 weeks
- Floating required with priority given to travelers
- 3-day floor orientation
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing in a stepdown unit environment
- Holiday coverage required every other holiday
- No on-call responsibilities
- Scrub requirement: navy blue or solid white tops and pants, with matching solid navy blue or white jackets; undershirts must be navy or white
