Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring an Illinois RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 5 days per week (40 hours)
- Weekend and holiday shifts required
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
- Prepares OR suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures
- Performs patient identification, timeouts, and safety checks throughout the surgical process
- Positions and preps patients for procedures using appropriate aides and guidelines
- Supports the surgical team during procedures, responding to requests for supplies, specimens, or medications
- Provides handoff communication to receiving RN when transporting patients to PACU or other units
- Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care provided
- Offers peer feedback and participates in ongoing professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days within a 13-week contract
- Travel partners are not accepted for this position
