Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week on a rotating schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm
• Patient population includes females of childbearing age, pregnant from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, and those undergoing scheduled procedures such as C-sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage
• Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op care, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section)
• Uses Fetal Monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation systems

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
• 3 years of L&D experience required
• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the specialty area required
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
• RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration
