Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVICU position requiring PALS/ACLS certification and prior pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
- Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients
- Age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow patients
- 12-hour shifts from 07:00-19:30
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA required)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients across a wide age range
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced pay rate
- US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration
