Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery / OB position requiring an active AK RN license and 2+ years of recent LDRP experience.

Details

• Acute care setting within the OB/L&D unit
• Unit includes 4 LDRP rooms and 5 Nursery/Postpartum beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios follow national standards based on labor type and patient needs
• 12-hour night shift schedule
• EPIC EMR system used for charting
• Utilizes Meditech, OBIX, Pyxis Supply Stations, and bedside fetal monitors
• No floating to other units required

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and HS AED
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required

• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles
• Follows departmental, hospital, and standard nursing practice policies
• Scrubs provided as part of dress code
• Unit-specific training includes 3-day Meditech and OBIX training plus unit orientation
• Medication testing must be completed onsite within the first two weeks
• COVID vaccination or declination form required; unvaccinated staff must wear masks
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• Returning travelers with prior employment at this facility must disclose it for a DNU check
• Facility may cancel up to 24 hours within a 13-week contract with no penalty
