Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week outpatient imaging assignment requiring ARRT (R)(M) certification and experience in screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures.
Details
- Outpatient Imaging Center setting within a Mammography department
- Uses GE mammography equipment
- Documentation via Meditech and Change Healthcare PACS
- Procedures performed include screening and diagnostic mammograms and stereotactic biopsies
- Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No floating required
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(M) certification required
- BLS certification required
- New Mexico State License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Mammographer
- Experience with screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures required
- Must be registered and competent in mammography

- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms as well as stereotactic breast biopsies
- Scrubs of any color required
- Hospital is Joint Commission Accredited with a Chest Pain Center and Certified Primary Stroke Center
- Located in Las Cruces, NM offering year-round sunshine and outdoor recreation opportunities
- All clinical staff must be fingerprinted prior to hire per New Mexico state requirement, with a 14-day supervised waiver available while results are pending
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Candidates who worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
