Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Trauma Level II facility, requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior ED experience.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department at a Trauma Level II, Primary Stroke, and STEMI Center hospital
• ED includes 29 beds plus 8 surge hallway beds, 1 dedicated Trauma Room, and 6 Vertical Care (fast-track) rooms
• Supports a 4:1 RN ratio in the main ED and 3:1 RN ratio in the Vertical Care area
• Pediatric Readiness Facility serving 7 local counties
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Current PALS certification (AHA) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity trauma and emergency setting alongside a large multidisciplinary team of over 120 associates
• Department supported by a robust provider staffing model including multiple MDs and APPs across shifts
• Scrub requirement: navy blue top and bottom, with Ascension branded shirt worn on payday Fridays
• Holiday coverage required for 2 major holidays
• On-site cafeteria available with extended hours and nearby restaurant delivery options
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• Only one submission allowed per candidate across all Ascension positions system-wide
