Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active NC or compact RN license and 1-2+ years of L&D experience.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an 86-bed acute care hospital
• 5-bed unit caring for adult and neonatal patients
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• Shift schedule is nights, 7p-7a with rotating weekends
• No float or on-call requirements
• Uses the Paragon EHR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• 1-2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• Competency in reading fetal heart rate tracings, labor medications, labor process, and cervical exams
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to laboring patients and newborns including fetal monitoring and labor management
• Supervised by the unit director
• Team-oriented, friendly personality preferred
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within the radius may be considered at a local rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
