Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist for a busy pediatric hospital float pool position, requiring PALS certification and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Float pool RRT position within a busy pediatric hospital setting
• Must be willing to float to sister facilities including ED and ICU units
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• 13-week assignment with possible extension
• One holiday shift required
• Level I Trauma center environment

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with proof of certification required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• GA Respiratory Care Professional license required (if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RRT experience required
• Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Proficiency with FM-Intermediate/Advanced, ventilators, and triage skills required
• Experience with V-60, Servo-i, Drager, Hamilton T-1, Vapotherm, and Optiflow equipment required
• Copy of diploma or associate degree program with RRT credentials required
• Two professional references from supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration
• Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a high-acuity pediatric hospital and float across ED and ICU units as needed
• Minimal to no RTO accommodated for this assignment
• Facility conducts nicotine/cotinine testing as a nicotine-free campus
• First-time travelers are accepted if resume demonstrates the required skills and experience
• Recent travel experience preferred but not required
• BSN preferred but not required
