Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Cerner and Critical Access Hospital experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a community hospital setting with fewer than 100 births per month
• LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) care model
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed within scope of practice
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP (NRP may be obtained after offer but prior to start)
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Two professional references from the specialty being applied for required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include newborn care and assessment, postpartum care of vaginal delivery patients, IV therapy and phlebotomy, isolation precautions/PPE, and vaccine administration
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous staff must have a 1-year break in employment before returning as a traveler
