Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring WA or compact RN license and Critical Access Hospital experience.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 3 LD rooms plus 1 triage room
• Low-volume facility with under 100 births per month and about 20 deliveries per month
• Postpartum patients transfer to acute care after delivery
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed within scope
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (NRP may be obtained after offer but before start date)
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Two references required, with 2 years in the specialty being applied for

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery care including newborn assessment and care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and postpartum care for vaginal delivery patients
• Follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols and administer vaccines as needed
• Local candidates accepted
• No radius restriction
• First-time travelers accepted
• Block scheduling available
• Previous staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
