Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 Trauma Center requiring Epic charting experience and prior travel assignment success.

Details

• ICU setting in an acute care, Level 3 Trauma Center hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 18:30-7:00)
• Patient ratios of 1:2, with occasional 1:3
• Weekend requirement of 6 shifts per 6-week period
• Floating required to Med Surg (1:5) or ER depending on census
• No on-call responsibilities
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Common diagnoses/procedures include CRRT, cardiac and cardiac surgery care (CABG, hemodynamic monitoring), respiratory failure requiring vent management, DKA, and altered mental status
• Manages multiple drips and performs central line, arterial line, and CVP setup and management
• Basic dysrhythmia training required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• 3 years of hospital ICU experience preferred
• No pending licenses accepted
• Charting system and ratios must be noted for prior assignments

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex ICU patients including cardiac, respiratory, and renal cases
• No first-time travelers considered; at least one successful prior travel assignment required with no performance or attendance issues
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests accommodated
• Maximum of 5 RTO days allowed during the 13-week assignment, with no holiday time off
• No additional RTO requests accepted after submittal or while on contract
• Facility maintains a zero-fault attendance policy where missed shifts, regardless of reason, may result in warnings or cancellation
• Scrub color requirements vary by unit
• Free parking provided
• Must complete lab work within 48-72 hours of signing
