Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week rehab assignment in a long-term care setting, requiring 1+ year of OT experience.

Details

• Long-term care/rehab setting within the Occupational Therapy unit
• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Flexible start time between before 6AM and no later than 10AM, as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Active OT license required (if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• MO state license required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities/exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to regulatory and clinical standards
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Complete discharge summaries and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic system
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and in-services
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehab aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice standards and code of ethics
• No more than 7 days of requested RTO
