Description

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of L&D experience and an active Minnesota RN license for an evening/night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Evening shift (1500-2330) and night shift (2300-0730) on a 4x8-hour or 8x12-hour schedule
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Triage and circulating duties included

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of Minnesota license application required at time of consideration
• BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• 3 years of High Risk OB experience preferred for charge role consideration
• OR, Antepartum, and Triage experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Minnesota CNA license required in hand at time of consideration, if applicable
• Livescan fingerprinting must be completed in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, antepartum, and triage patients
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Fingerprinting and lab requirements are strict Minnesota state mandates with no exceptions
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Medical or religious vaccine exemption requests must include appropriate documentation
