Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 3+ years of ER experience and a CA RN license in hand.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend shifts required depending on department needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the hospital based on census
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• 1 professional reference required within 2 years
• Current Nursys verification required, pulled within 2 weeks of consideration
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, and ABG interpretation
• Skilled in cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations preferred
• Pediatric emergency experience including head injury, near drowning, and seizures preferred
• Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE protocols

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a range of acuities including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases
• Administer procedural sedation and manage IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation as needed
• Work within a STEMI and Stroke Certified emergency department
• First-time travelers welcome if they have 3-5 years of ER experience
• Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for consideration
• All requested time off must be submitted and pre-approved at the time of consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate if within 50 miles of the facility
