Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a float pool night shift position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within a float pool role
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend hours as needed
• Floating required across departments
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• No work history gaps exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care, including assessment, care planning, and patient education
• Performs patient hand-offs using safety tools such as SBAR and bedside reporting
• Communicates patient status with multidisciplinary care teams and participates in process improvement activities
• Completes required hospital competencies, in-services, and certifications as assigned
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to local contract limitations
