Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with 2+ years of experience and pediatric experience for a Level III trauma center position.

Details

• Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Evening (4x10) or Night (4x10) shift options
• 40 hours per week with 8 and/or 12 hour shifts based on department need
• Works at least every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital as needed
• Epic charting system preferred
• Work settings include Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• CRT certification required; RRT preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• Rhode Island license required and active at start; Connecticut license must be applied for/in process prior to start (license required if applicable)
• Prior travel experience required
• 1 professional reference required
• Skilled in drawing arterial blood gases
• Experienced in airway management devices and suctioning
• Experienced in intubation assist
• Experienced in nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning
• Experienced in ETT and NT suctioning
• Experienced in tracheostomy care and management

• Travelers must be willing to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Returning staff must have been gone at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted if within 75 miles of the facility
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
