Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a pediatric acute care hospital position requiring NICU and/or PICU experience.

Details

• Children's acute care teaching hospital with 400 staffed beds
• Level 1 trauma facility with ED, NICU, and PICU exposure
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside scope
• EPIC charting system used

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current certifications: BCLS, RRT
• NICU and/or PICU experience required
• Pediatric critical care experience required
• Valid MO state license required (license required if applicable)
• Pending IL license accepted for IL submissions

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostic care within a pediatric critical care setting
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted
• Standard travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius to qualify for travel rate and may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break
• Allied and non-clinical travelers may stay up to 12 months, followed by a required 6-month break
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Scrub color is flexible, or St. Louis Children's Hospital branded T-shirts/jackets may be worn
