Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - OR Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of OR experience and NM state RN licensure.
Details
- 47-bed acute care facility serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
- Surgery department with 3 OR, 3 PACU, and 5 Pre-op beds
- Serves all patient age groups
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Uses CQI and Medhost EHR systems
- Shift runs 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with every other weekend required
- Call requirements of approximately 10-11 days per month, up to 15-16 days if staffing is limited
- Floating required as needed, primarily to Pre-op
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) valid in New Mexico
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and HWC
- Minimum 2 years of OR circulator experience required
- Must complete fingerprinting and background check per New Mexico state requirements prior to hire
- May begin work on a 14-day supervised waiver while background check results are pending
Additional Information
- Weekly orientation held on Mondays
- Hospital-provided scrubs required; casual wear and open-toed shoes not permitted
- Professional personality fit expected
- Travel experience is a plus but not required, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate consideration
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
