Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry/Direct Observation Unit RN for a night shift stepdown position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• IMC/DOU stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• Priority floating required for travelers
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) in hand, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Provide direct observation and telemetry monitoring care to stepdown patients
• Complete 12 hours of orientation
• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity Health, within the past year
