Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring Level 1 ICU experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical Intensive Care Unit setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• 13-week contract assignment
• Required to work every other weekend, with flexibility based on staffing needs or traveler preference
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between ICU and Telemetry units
• Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required for this unit

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, including experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center for first-time travelers
• Skills required include Impella and balloon pump experience, stroke care, and STEMI care
• Proficiency in ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and continuous IV sedation
• Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, dysrhythmia management, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and management of acute kidney injury
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including those requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory support
• Care for patients requiring ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and renal support
• First-time travelers accepted if they meet the 2 years of Level 1 ICU experience requirement
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• A mileage radius rule applies for eligibility
