Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring prior PCU/surgical step-down experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical step-down unit (2 East)
• ICU background beneficial for this role
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, occasionally 3:1
• Must be willing to manage chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC and other central lines, ostomies, trachs, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains
• Must be comfortable administering drips/IV infusions including heparin, insulin, nitro, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• 13-week assignment length
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Prior step-down or ICU experience preferred

Additional Information

• Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday
• Local candidates accepted at local rates in Michigan
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies
