Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an outpatient medical oncology setting, requiring 1-3 years of MRI experience and MR certification.

Details

• Outpatient medical oncology department
• 3 shifts per week totaling 39 hours, with schedule including Sunday 7am-11pm, Monday 3pm-11pm, Tuesday 3pm-11pm, and Wednesday 3pm-11pm
• PM shift with on-call and holiday coverage required
• May float to a sister hospital nearby as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
• NJ State RT License required if applicable
• MR Certification required
• BLS Certification required
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret documents independently

Additional Information

• Position patients on examining table and place appropriate coil per Radiologist protocols
• Communicate with patients via microphone during examinations
• Enter patient history, scan orientation, and positioning data into MRI computer system
• Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room window and closed circuit TV
• Review scanned images for quality and capture images as needed
• Alert staff to metal safety hazards near the MRI magnet
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
