Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient therapy setting, requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Outpatient therapy setting treating orthopedic and neurologic conditions across all ages
• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM with variable hours
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• Uses Epic for therapy EMR charting and documentation
• Performs objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional task performance
• Applies taping techniques for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
• Administers therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant physical therapy experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• IL PT License required if applicable
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Experience with screening procedures and objective testing methods

Additional Information

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, adjusting plan of care based on response and clinical findings
• Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods
• Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Oversees and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel
• Completes annual education as required for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program compliance, if applicable
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
