Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a CA RN license and prior travel experience.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit within Nuclear Medicine
- Caring for both inpatient and outpatient populations
- Patient ratio of 1:3 with an average daily census of 10
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 07:30-16:00
- Float between designated medical plaza locations within scope as needed
- No weekend requirements
- No call requirements
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
- BSN required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS
- Minimum 2 years of IR nursing experience required
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Excellent communication and triaging skills required
- Skilled in IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, IV infusion pumps
- Experience with care and maintenance of implanted ports and PICC lines
- Prior travel assignment experience required
Additional Information
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including technologists and attending physicians covering NM, PET, and RLT services
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Navy blue scrub color required
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
- Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or employees must have a 12-month separation before reapplying
- Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible for consideration
