Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a critical access hospital setting.

Details

• Outpatient Rehab unit within a critical access hospital with 25 staffed beds
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends required
• Flexible scheduling options available, including potential for 8 or 10 hour shifts
• Uses Cerner for charting, experience preferred but not required
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
• License required if applicable
• Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations preferred
• Familiarity with modalities such as e-stim, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and traction preferred
• Experience with assessment, documentation, and home exercise program development

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic and neurologic caseloads
• Scrub color is grey
• Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Time off requests should be discussed directly with the facility manager
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted
