Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3+ years of high-risk L&D and couplet care experience with a CA RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit providing antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum/couplet care
• Float requirement to UCLA Santa Monica Hospital Perinatal unit as needed
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30 with a 30-minute unpaid meal break
• Four weekend shifts (Friday and/or Saturday nights) required every 4-week schedule
• Circulates NSVDs and C-Sections
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) certifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a high-risk facility required
• Couplet care experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Academic/teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, hemorrhage/shock management, and VBAC/trial of labor preferred
• Pending licenses not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care throughout the childbirth experience including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum/couplet care
• Care for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, multiple gestation, and preterm labor
• Navy scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or perm employees must be cleared by Talent Management before consideration, with RNs requiring a 12-month separation
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers may be considered
