Description
American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring NH or compact licensure, Med Surg experience, and cardiac drip expertise.
Details
- Stepdown unit within a regional referral hospital setting
- Adult-geriatric patient population
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Float to Kingsbury unit as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact license required and must be in-hand prior to consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
- Cardiac drip experience required
- Dementia experience/management required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidate must have personal vehicle due to lack of public transportation in the area
Additional Information
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching
- Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members
- Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
- Traveler-provided professional scrubs required (no logos)
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
- RTO requests must be submitted and verified at time of profile upload; requests after upload or during interview will not be approved
- No more than 5 days of RTO accepted for the assignment
- Block scheduling will not be accommodated
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
