Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine unit, requiring 3+ years of OB ultrasound experience and ARDMS OB/GYN certification.
Details
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine department performing diagnostic imaging on high-risk pregnancy patients from 1st to 3rd trimester
- Patient ratio of 1:9
- Scans include NT, 1st trimester, biophysical profile (BPP), detailed level II, twins/triplets, umbilical artery doppler, middle cerebral artery doppler, and transvaginal ultrasounds
- Uses GE ultrasound equipment
- Epic EMR experience required
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM with variable days
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an OB ultrasound sonographer
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS OB/GYN certification required, ARDMS FE certification preferred
- Experience with OB/GYN, 1st-3rd trimester scans, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, nuchal translucency screen, and placenta previa
- License required if applicable
- Prior travel experience required
Additional Information
- Perform routine and specialized sonography procedures to produce quality diagnostic images for physicians and healthcare providers involved in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract, covering New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
