Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with telemetry experience for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring MO or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Details

• Float position covering Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, and Orthopedics units
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• EPIC charting system used
• Patient population includes cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and general surgical cases
• Skills utilized include telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory care, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO state or compact) required, pending license accepted but must be in hand prior to start
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required
• Additional certifications required: CPI, NIHSS, Tele/EKG Exam
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Skills in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory management, and cardiac/neuro care required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across multiple med/surg and telemetry float assignments as needed
• Facility is a 352-bed Level II Trauma and Level II Stroke Center, serving as the only tertiary hospital between Kansas City and Omaha

• Local candidates accepted at a reduced pay rate
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
