Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring CA RN licensure and stroke patient experience.

Details

• Primarily scheduled on Med/Surg unit (MS 4 or 5) with competency to float to telemetry
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Telemetry work setting requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• 2 years of Med/Surg and telemetry experience required, with telemetry experience preferred
• Stroke patient experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• ICU/ED experience preferred
• Conscious sedation and ventilator management experience preferred
• Required documents for consideration: DOB, RTO, valid state license, certification copies, references, and COVID vaccination status

Additional Information

• Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos covered, no visible body piercings other than earlobe-only earrings
• Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3–6 hours depending on specialty
• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the standard bill rate
• Maximum RTO of 5 days permitted; blocked scheduling cannot be approved
