Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years critical care experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Details
- ICU unit within a 10-bed hospital setting
- Critical Care/Medical ICU specialty treating adult patients
- Patient ratio of 2:1 with additional boarder patients as needed
- Common diagnoses include ACS, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, GI issues, and renal failure
- Uses Baxter pumps, Omnicell, and Spacelabs equipment
- Meditech EHR experience required
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekend requirement, every other weekend
- No call requirements
- Float requirement to MSU/PCU/Telemetry as needed
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 2+ years of critical care nursing experience required
- Meditech EHR experience required
- Associate's degree required
- Community hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Team player with flexibility and consistency valued
- Navy scrub color required
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
