Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Neuro CCU/ICU position requiring NIH Stroke Certification and a Colorado or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in an 18-bed Neuro CCU/ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 9 RNs, and 1 PCT per shift for census over 14
• Estimated patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients
• Unit utilizes cardiac monitoring, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, EVDs/LDs/Bolts, continuous EEG, lumbar drains, Arctic Sun, and Licox equipment
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS) required
• Experience with neuro patient population preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform procedures including intubations, central line placement, EVD/LD placement, and Licox catheter placement
• Collaborative, team-oriented personality fit preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, local candidates will not be considered
