Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a float pool night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Med/Surg float pool position within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required across Med/Surg units

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• ASN required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Skills in BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Experience caring for post-angiogram and post-MI cardiac patients preferred
• Experience with total joint replacement and peripheral nerve block catheters preferred
• Pending state licenses not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide general medical-surgical nursing care across a variety of patient conditions including gastrointestinal, respiratory, renal, neurological, and cardiac cases
• Responsible for wound care, wound vac management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced local rate
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
